Madagascar is located off the southern coast of Africa, separated by 400 km by the Mozambique Channel. It is often called: the island continent, the red island, the paradise island, but above all it is a sanctuary of nature.
The island is home to 3% of the planet’s vegetation with a very high rate of endemism because more than 80% of the fauna and 90% of the flora that the island shelters are unique and cannot be found anywhere else.
